“It takes nothing to join the crowd. It takes everything to stand alone.” ~ Hans F. Hansen

*Disclaimer* This article will be dripping with satire and sarcasm with the “problems” associated with preventative medicine.
Let’s discuss some “problems” you might run into with preventive medicine.
This is only a problem if you subscribe to the idea that ignorance is bliss.
That is fine, but maybe you want a furnace/heater before winter arrives.
To each their own, a preventive medicine program may be able to provide valuable insights to help generate a health plan and interventions to aid in fighting off future diseases and illnesses.
It makes sense: you want others to do the work for you.
I tried many times to get someone else to write this article. However, one of the benefits of a preventive medicine program is how you are empowered to make lifestyle recommendations and treatment plans.
Have you tried to repair your car or build the IKEA furniture you bought without watching a YouTube video or reading the instructions? This author certainly has, and it nearly gets the job done… but there is usually an extra piece that always happens to be lying around with no clue where or what it went to.
Fortunately, the bookshelf is low risk, but in terms of your health, preventive medicine programs often provide health coaching or guides to help ensure you follow the plan for the best success — this way, there aren’t any missed steps nor screws missing, etc.
At Tiger Medical, our coaches are not micromanaging but instead collaborating with you to incorporate lifestyle changes/treatment plans for long-lasting results!
If you do not like to look at the whole picture and try to finish puzzles while just looking at a few pieces rather than the box on the front…then preventive medicine may not be for you.
However, if you want to know the greater context of situations or how one part of the body impacts the other and ties your entire well-being into a treatment plan…then preventive medicine could be just for you!
Many of us can think of someone with little hope in many circumstances. Maybe it is no hope in their sports team, career, or even health.
No one is knocking on what may have got that person there, but when it comes to one’s health, preventive medicine can shine a light on one’s chronic issues and possibly provide hope where there seems to be very little.
There are specific health concerns that preventive medicine can impact, and others where good preventive medicine programs will refer out if it is not in their wheelhouse.
For many, preventive medicine can help provide that ray of sunshine and hope to treat their ailments. For many people, getting the results they’ve been looking for their whole life has been worth the challenging road.
The hope is that the joking mood of this article has come across that some of the problems you may face when with preventive medicine are not problems at all. If anything, they’re good problems to have.

A Word From Our Founder, Steve Adams
Hey there! I'm Steve
I spent 20 years in high-pressure corporate banking, constantly traveling and neglecting my health. By 50, I was sleep-deprived, getting only 2-3 hours of sleep despite lying in bed for six hours. I suffered from acid reflux, IBS, cramping, constipation, anxiety, fatigue, and brain fog, affecting my performance and relationships.
Then I found a Functional Medicine Doctor
He conducted extensive testing on genetics, gut biome health, and hormones. He discovered several issues and created a personalized medical plan and coached me for a year on lifestyle changes. The results were transformative!
Today, I feel like a new person. I can engage in high-intensity interval training, weight lifting, and running without any symptoms. Inspired by this journey, I founded Tiger Medical Institute to help others achieve similar health transformations - to help you live healthier, better life!
